The Culture and Arts Association in Dammam launched yesterday the “Ready for Display” exhibition, which will continue until the 10th of November. The exhibition features artists from the Eastern Province as well as several residents in the region from Egypt, Syria, the Philippines, India, and Pakistan. The event is being held at the association’s headquarters in Dammam.
The artworks brilliantly captured the local environment, the nature of the Kingdom, and its culture, showcasing beauty through the composition of colors and the perfection of artistic elements, whether depicting the marine or terrestrial environment. Additionally, still life was included as one of the areas that reflect precision in expression and artistic creativity in portrayal.
The exhibition aims to showcase the experiences of regional artists and support their talent, as well as to build capacities and create opportunities for artists and creatives by allowing them to present their artworks. It also seeks to support the art movement in the Kingdom.
Notably, the exhibition has, through its past editions, reflected an increasingly mature creative scene. A few days ago, the exhibition received 167 works from 98 male and female artists, and the selection committee approved 47 artworks.
Eastern Region Innovates
The exhibition, which is part of the cultural programs organized by the association as part of its participation in the “Eastern Region Innovates” initiative, includes an acrylic painting techniques workshop held today, Saturday, and a live painting event featuring participating artists tomorrow.
Next Wednesday, the association will launch the “Artistic Imprint” exhibition. It will feature a panel discussion, a showcase of an artist’s experience, and an art workshop for the public.
