CST, IEEE Launch International Research Competition in NTN Field

In collaboration with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), Saudi Arabia’s Communications, Space, and Technology Commission (CST), has launched the “Competition on Non-Terrestrial Networks for 6G” International Research Competition.

Objectives of the Competition

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the initiative aims primarily at finding innovative solutions for 6G non-terrestrial networks (NTN).

Furthermore, it focuses on boosting research and innovation in the field of non-terrestrial networks and future communications.

Deadline

CST explained that the submission of scientific and research papers will continue until September 15, 2024, according to the conditions listed on the competition’s website.

Target Audience

The competition basically targets all researchers in the NTN and the future telecom field.

Process

The papers will be evaluated, and the top 10 ideas will be invited to participate in the “Connecting the World from the Skies” forum, in which the ideas will undergo final assessment to determine the three winners. The forum will take place in in Riyadh on November 25-26, 2024.
