Al-Khereiji Attends Celebration Honoring Gulf Women
In a remarkable step, the Cooperation Council celebrated Gulf Women on International Women’s Day at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Riyadh. Deputy Foreign Minister of KSA Waleed bin Abdul Karim Al-Khereiji participated in this celebration. This significant event marks a pivotal moment in the recognition of women’s achievements and challenges in the Gulf region.
Vision 2030 & Empowering Gulf Women
In his speech, Al-Khereiji emphasized KSA’s dedication to incorporating women’s empowerment into the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. Moreover, he highlighted this commitment as a strategy for a comprehensive national plan that includes all societal sectors. Al-Khereiji stressed that empowering women is crucial for national progress and well-being.
Advocacy for Women’s Rights
Besides, Al-Khereiji renewed KSA’s focus on protecting women’s rights, eliminating discrimination, and supporting women at all levels. He noted that Saudi women are key partners in the nation’s transformation and growth across various fields. Solidarity with Palestinian Women
Furthermore, Al-Khereiji poignantly highlighted the hardships of Palestinian women in Gaza amid ongoing Israeli violations of international laws. He reiterated KSA’s condemnation of the Israeli military’s illegal acts and crimes against Palestinian women and the community. Additionally, he stressed the urgency of ending the war and immediately ceasing fire. He emphasized ensuring the protection of civilians, women, and children, in accordance with international humanitarian law.

In celebrating the journey of Gulf women, Al-Khereiji lauded the significant achievements made possible by the political will of the Gulf states’ governments in empowering women in decision-making roles and various levels.
