Saudi Arabia’s national team have been drawn in Group H of the 2026 World Cup finals alongside Spain, Cape Verde, and Uruguay.
The draw for the 2026 World Cup took place at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington, D.C., on Friday.
The Green Falcons secured their spot in the tournament in October, marking their seventh appearance.
Since their World Cup debut in the United States in 1994, they have reached seven of the past nine tournaments. However, they have not reached the knockout stages since 1994, winning just two matches at the finals over the past 30 years.
Notable Performances
Despite this, they delivered a major surprise at the 2022 tournament in Qatar by defeating eventual winners Argentina 2-1 in their opening match. However, they then lost to both Poland and Mexico, finishing bottom of their group.
Meanwhile, Cape Verde will make their debut appearance at the World Cup, while Spain, among the tournament favorites, and former champions Uruguay, a historically strong side, will pose major challenges for the Green Falcons.
