Brand Finance Ranks Saudi Hospitals as Top in Middle East, Africa
“Brand Finance” has ranked Saudi hospitals as the best in the Middle East and Africa. This recognition highlights the region’s growing prominence in healthcare.
Consistent Excellence
For the second year, Saudi hospitals remain at the forefront in the Middle East and Africa. They secured spots in the 2024 global top 250 hospitals, as per “Brand Finance”. Seven Saudi hospitals made the list, with five ranking in the global top 100.
The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center was a notable leader both locally and regionally. The U.S.’s Mayo Clinic led the ranking, with 11 of its hospitals in the top 25. European hospitals also marked their presence strongly.
Remarkably, the All India Institute of Medical Sciences achieved third place, standing out as the leading health institution outside the U.S.
Criteria, Saudi Hospitals in Ranking
The ranking methodology involved surveying thousands of health professionals across over 30 countries.
The seven featured Saudi hospitals include: King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center, King Saud Medical City, King Khalid University Hospital, National Guard Health Affairs, King Fahd Medical City, King Fahd University Hospital, and King Abdullah Medical City.
Notably, the last two ranked between 101-205. The remaining Saudi hospitals proudly positioned within the top 100.

The prominent positioning of Saudi hospitals is attributed to the Saudi Health Sector Transformation Program. This initiative is a key part of Vision 2030, spearheaded by HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.
