Saudi Arabia will host the third edition of the Saudi International Handicrafts Week (Banan 2025) in Riyadh next November, under the patronage of the Saudi Culture Minister and Chairman of the Heritage Commission, Prince Badr bin Farhan, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Taking place from November 13-26, Banan 2025 will bring together more than 40 countries, 20 partners and 400 local artisans, showcasing Saudi and international handicrafts, in conjunction with the Year of Handicrafts 2025.
It aims to support and empower local male and female artisans by providing them with an international platform to display their creativity, leverage their skills, and enhance their market presence.
In this edition, China will be the Guest of Honor, sharing its outstanding craftsmanship to boost cultural exchange and open new horizons for bilateral cooperation.
Moreover, Syria will take part in the event for the first time, highlighting its traditional arts and crafts.
At Banan 2025, visitors will indulge in exceptional experiences, including interactive workshops, pavilions displaying local and global handicrafts, a dedicated area for children, and platforms for entrepreneurs.

Additionally, the event will feature a special pavilion for the Year of Handicrafts 2025 initiative. It will also highlight the Heritage Commission’s House of Artisans initiative, which aims to support artisans across the Kingdom.
Banan 2025 builds on the massive success of the two previous editions, which attracted over 200,000 visitors and generated more than SAR2.5 million in sales in the 2024 edition alone.
The Saudi International Handicrafts Week (Banan) underscores the Heritage Commission’s commitment to strengthening handicrafts as an integral element of the national identity, supporting the cultural sector and achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
These efforts have culminated in Banan securing three prestigious awards: Paris Design Award, iF Design Award, and BETTER FUTURE London Design Award 2025.
