Saudi Arabia’s Architecture and Design Commission has launched a Continuous Professional Development (CPD) initiative to offer promising training opportunities for Saudis.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the initiative provides Saudi talents with outstanding practical experiences in collaboration with the French Architects for Export (AFEX).
In the light of this, the program represents a valuable platform for Saudi cadres to leverage from pioneering architectural firms in France.
In partnership with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the CPD features a comprehensive training program designed basically to support professionals and boost their skills.
Moreover, practitioners will have regular educational hours annually to enrich their knowledge and enhance their experiences.
The commission noted that the current initiative aligns with its mission to elevate the architecture and design sector in the Kingdom through various strategic partnerships with prestigious worldwide entities.
Furthermore, it emphasized that the current cooperation with AFEX stands as a testament to the Kingdom’s continuous efforts to empower local talents and let them engage with international expertise.
Crucially, the commission signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Retal Urban Development Company during the Cityscape Global Exhibition.
The agreement aims to provide training and professional development for architects and designers.
Accordingly, they will organize workshops, sponsoring competitions, awards, conferences, forums, and lectures.
