Arab Tourism Ministers’ Meetings Kick off in Doha
The Arab Ministerial Council for Tourism‘s sessions began in Doha with the presence of Arab tourism ministers, who are convening to discuss several important aspects of the Arab tourism sector.
Qatar’s Commitment Collaboration
Saad Al-Kharji, President of Qatar Tourism, expressed his delight in hosting the Arab ministerial meeting for tourism. He highlighted the commitment of all members to enhance cooperation in the Arab tourism sector and Qatar’s dedication to playing a pivotal role in achieving this.
Al-Kharji rejoiced, celebrating the achievements of his Arab counterparts in this field, according to SABQ Online Newspaper.
Vision for Dynamic Future
Al-Kharji added, “We look forward to hosting a successful and impactful event that will further strengthen the bonds of cooperation among Arab communities and chart a path towards a dynamic and prosperous future in the Arab tourism sector.”
Step Towards Unified Tourist Visa
Al-Kharji pointed out that the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf’s approval of a unified tourist visa is a significant step towards realizing the Council’s vision of enhancing cooperation between member states.
He affirmed that this visa would contribute to boosting cultural and social exchange.
Qatar’s Expanding
Qatar’s tourism landscape has seen significant growth. Firstly, it welcomed three million visitors recently, the highest in five years. Additionally, the country hosted major events like the 2023 Geneva International Motor Show, the first time it’s been outside Switzerland. Furthermore, other events included the World Sailing Ski Championship and “Expo Doha 2023.” Lastly, this expo was Qatar’s first international horticulture expo.
