AlUla Gears up for Saudi National Day with Azimuth Festival, Breathtaking Experiences

AlUla is gearinh up for the Saudi National Day celebrations with a vast array of cultural and tourism events, headlined by the Azimuth music and cultural festival, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Set to take place on September 25 and 26 in the historic AlUla Oasis, the festival represents an integral part of the AlUla Moments calendar.

By extraordinarily blending AlUla’s rich heritage with contemporary culture, the event will host immersive performances that combine music, light, and creativity.

The Azimuth festival will also feature art installations, creative activities, and exceptional food and beverage experiences.

Breathtaking Adventures

Apart from this, visitors will have an unmissable opportunity to enjoy a variety of immersive experiences such as scenic sunset tours offering breathtaking panoramas to stargazing excursions under AlUla’s internationally certified Dark Sky. There, expert astronomers will share the tales of celestial bodies.

Other festivities include guided tours of heritage sites like Hegra, Saudi Arabia’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Tourists will have an exclusive opportunity to hop on a horse and marvel at the picturesque evening skies of Hegra. Even more excellent, if they have a look at the charming inscriptions and cave drawings of the pre-Nabataean period.

To squeeze more joy out of an ecstatic journey at AlUla, visitors can also have a look at Maraya, the largest mirror-covered building in the world.

Maraya contains a total of 9740 square metres of mirrors reflecting the vast and breathtaking desert surroundings of AlUla.
