Al Ahly in Traditional Kit, Al-Ittihad in Stripes for the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup
A meeting was held on Thursday morning for the Al Ahly and Al-Ittihad match in Jeddah, in preparation for the FIFA Club World Cup 2023.
Al Ahly will wear their traditional kit, consisting of a red shirt, white shorts, and red socks. Al-Ittihad Jeddah will wear their striped kit, featuring a black and yellow shirt, black shorts, and black socks.
Various aspects of the match were discussed, including the teams’ arrival times at the stadium and other organizational details.
Attendees included Al Ahly’s treasurer and head of the mission, Khaled Mortagy. It also included Hanan Al-Zeini, the coordinator and director of regulations and licenses. Khaled Bebo, the football manager also attended the meeting. Al Ahly’s doctor, Ahmed Gaber, administrative manager Samir Adly, administrator Wael Mohamed, security coordinator Major General Alaa Salah, and marketing officer Ahmed El-Toukhy were also present.
Representatives from Al-Ittihad Jeddah attended, along with the general coordinator and the match observer. It also included representatives from FIFA, and members of the organizing committee for the FIFA Club World Cup 2023.
Al-Ittihad Jeddah, the Saudi league champions, are preparing to face Al Ahly, the African Champions League champions, in the quarterfinals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2023. This follows Al-Ittihad’s victory over Auckland City with a 3-0 score at the Al-Jawhara Stadium.
The quarterfinal match between Al-Ittihad and Al Ahly will take place on Friday, December 15th. The will start at 8 PM Cairo time and 9 PM Mecca time.
The remaining FIFA Club World Cup 2023 matches are as follows:
– First Quarterfinal: Al Ahly vs. Al-Ittihad, on Friday, December 15th, at 9 PM Mecca time at the Al-Jawhara Stadium.
– Second Quarterfinal: Urawa Reds (Japan) vs. Club León (Mexico), on Friday, December 15th. It will kick off at 5:30 PM, at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium.
– First Semifinal: Fluminense (Brazil) vs. the winner of the first quarterfinal, on Monday, December 18th at 9 PM, at the Al-Jawhara Stadium.
– Second Semifinal: Manchester City (England) vs. the winner of the second quarterfinal. On Tuesday, December 19th, at 9 PM, the Al-Jawhara Stadium will host the match.
– Club World Cup Final: On Friday, December 22nd, at 9 PM, at the Al-Jawhara Stadium.
– Third Place Match: On Friday, December 22nd, at 5:30 PM, at Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Stadium.
