Afghanistan: Saudi Arabia continues to support Afghan people
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan reaffirmed his country’s support for the Afghan people at this critical time in the history of Afghanistan.
The Saudi minister’s assurances came during his participation in a virtual ministerial meeting on Afghanistan held via video conference, in which he emphasized his country’s support for the Afghan people and the decisions they make about their country’s future, free of external interference.
Saudi Arabia hopes that the “Taliban movement” and all Afghan parties will work to maintain peace, security and protect civilian lives. He reassures that the formation of the caretaker government will be a step in the right direction toward achieving security and stability, rejecting violence and extremism, according to Prince Faisal bin Farhan’s speech during the meeting. The Saudi Foreign Minister sent his heartfelt condolences to the Afghan people and the families of those killed in the Kabul Airport tragedy.
He emphasized that his country places the greatest emphasis on assisting Afghanistan in overcoming its current problems.
