The parks and gardens of Ha’il city now showcase the golden hues of over 25,000 Acacia glauca trees, planted by municipal authorities along gardens and roadsides. This effort enhances the city’s beauty and aligns with its human-centered urban vision, adding charm that delights visitors amid the region’s pleasant weather.
Acacia glauca trees are among the valuable types of acacia, prized for their environmental and economic benefits. They are particularly adaptable to harsh and arid environments, making them significant in desertification control and soil fertility improvement projects. These trees grow annually between 80 to 90 cm and are commonly found in tropical and subtropical regions, including areas in Africa, Asia, and Australia.
The leaves of Acacia glauca are small, green, and are supported by deep roots that help reduce water loss. Additionally, they have nitrogen-fixing bacteria in their roots, which enhance soil fertility and productivity by adding nitrogen back into the soil.
