RFW 2024: Revolutionary Transformation in Saudi Fashion Scene
The second season of Riyadh Fashion Week (RFW 2024) concluded on Monday, October 22, 2024, after five days of dazzling shows.
The RFW 2024 attracted high-profile celebrities, who flocked to the highly-anticipated event to watch the stunning and creative designs of more than 30 renowned and emerging Saudi designers. The RFW 2024 has succeeded in further positioning Saudi Arabia as a key player in the global fashion scene.
A Source of Inspiration
On the third day of RFW 2024, home-grown Saudi designers showcased their talent through designs inspired by themes that reflect Saudi Arabia’s culture, natural heritage and wildlife, according to Arab News.
ArAm by Arwa Al-Ammari captivated audiences with a glamorous and creative collection inspired by Saudi Arabia’s natural heritage. Her designs featured animals associated with the Saudi wildlife, such as the oryx, the Arabian leopard, and the Arabian wolf.
It also drew inspiration from indigenous plants such as sider (Ziziphus spina), arar (Juniper), arak (Salvadora Persica), sheh (Artemisia), sant (Acacia), gada (Haloxylon Persicum), and athoba (Senegalia Mellifera).
Tech Fashion
The third day also featured a collection for the brilliant Kawthar Alhoraish’s Kaf by Kaf. Titled “Artificial Beauty,” Kaf by Kaf’s Spring/Summer 2025 collection blended technology with nature, highlighting the contradictions between the organic and the synthetic. In a bold move, Kaf by Kaf used a robot model to reinforce the idea of blending fashion and technology.
In another milestone for the talented Saudi designer, Kaf by Kaf has recently partnered with Adidas to collaborate in its Spring/Summer 2025 collection at Riyadh Fashion Week 2024.
Moreover, Mona Alshebil and Razan Alazzouni shined the catwalk with their elegant and simple designs during the RFW 2024 third day.
Stylish Wear
Runways continued to shine through the fourth day of RFW 2024, with designs focused on day-to-night dressing. It featured collections for prominent designers, including MD29, RBA, Noura Suleiman, HARJUSS, KML and MAZROOD.
MD29 showcased a sophisticated formal-themed collection, including deconstructed blazers in the shades of grey, camel, and dark blue. In an attempt to create a trendy look, the Saudi designer presented bubble skirts for stylish day-to-night outfits.
Meanwhile, casual looks were the main theme of RBA brand. The catwalk glowed with designs combining linen and wrinkled, textured cotton and multi-layers. Shades of beige, rust and chocolate brown dominated the collection.
Menswear at RFW 2024
The talented Noura Suleiman presented an innovative collection, combining both menswear and womenswear. Her designs were distinguished by lines of embroidered Arabic text on some of the blazers and shirts labels.

Furthermore, KML showcased a unique collection, featuring chic blazer sets and belted workwear for men. The designs blended Arab and Japanese styles in a distinctive way that created a totally new experience on the runway.
In a dazzling runway show, HAJRUSS displayed his creativity and innovation in an elegant menswear collection.
With chic and modern designs, MAZROOD stole the spotlight with a collection combining floral designs, causal looks and evening wear.
Streetwear on the Catwalk
The fifth day of RFW 2024 showcased outstanding collections for male designers famous for their prominence in streetwear designs. From Hindamme to House of Cenmar, Awaken, Jubb, and 1886, the big event wrapped up with innovative designs and trendy looks.
Hindamme’s collection was inspired by Saudi Arabia’s ancient petroglyphs, aiming to connect the past, present and future. The runway show concluded with the rising Saudi singer, Mishaal Tamer, wearing a T-shirt displaying “Saudi Arabia is the future.”
After that, House of Cenmar exhibited a collection that carried a sense of mystique and adventure, blending traditional and modern trends in stylish streetwear.
Moreover, Jubb’s collection showcased cutting edge fashion and timeless elegance. The prominent Saudi brand 1886 also added its touch to modern fashion, with extraordinary casual wear.
