A look into NASA’s asteroid that contains enough gold to make everyone on Earth a billionaire

In a dreamlike fantasy, every person on earth might become a billionaire if the US space agency (NASA) mission succeeded in discovering an asteroid containing a huge amount of gold.

NASA has confirmed that it is looking forward to discovering the asteroid Psyche on a mission that it will launch in 2022 to explore the origins of the solar system, according to the British newspaper, The Sun.

 (NASA) stated that the asteroid was discovered in the late nineteenth century, noting that it is located between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter and is made of solid metal.

it is believed that the asteroid contains, in addition to gold, large amounts of platinum, iron, and nickel.

It has been estimated that Psyche’s various minerals are worth 8000 quadrillion pounds sterling.

This means that if it is brought back to Earth, it will destroy commodity prices and lead to the collapse of the global economy.

For its part, NASA said that the spacecraft assigned to the mission will work for 21 months to map and study 16 characteristics of the asteroid.

The spacecraft will use a multispectral imager, a gamma-ray neutron spectrometer, a magnetometer, and a radio (gravimetric) instrument to detect the asteroid.

NASA believes Psyche is an asteroid that survived violent interplanetary collisions that were common when the solar system was forming.

 This discovery can tell us how the core of the Earth and the cores of other terrestrial planets formed.
