The patient had been under close medical supervision at the university’s Pediatric Nephrology Center of Excellence after being diagnosed with a rare congenital condition characterized by underdeveloped kidneys, which led to progressive organ failure.

Additionally, the procedure involved the use of advanced laparoscopic techniques to safely remove the kidney from the donor, followed by a successful transplant for the child without any complications.

Furthermore, this achievement reflects years of meticulous strategic planning and preparation, spanning more than three years. The establishment of the pediatric transplant program required coordinated efforts across multiple medical specialties, the implementation of cutting-edge tissue-matching protocols, and comprehensive health assessments to ensure both the long-term success of the transplant and the safety of the donor.
