Saudi Crown Prince, France’s Macron Discuss Preparations for Two-State Solution Conf.

The Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, held a phone discussion with the French President, Emmanuel Macron, ahead of the upcoming Two-State Solution Conference, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

On Saturday, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call from Macron, during which they reviewed the outcomes of the High-Level International Conference on the Peaceful Settlement of the Question of Palestine and the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, which Saudi Arabia co-chairs alongside France.

Moreover, the two leaders discussed preparations for the conference’s resumption at the summit level on September 22, 2025, in support of the efforts aimed at ending the war in Gaza and achieving peace that leads to the establishment of a Palestinian State.

Both the Saudi Crown Prince and the French President praised the UN General Assembly’s adoption of the New York Declaration, issued by the conference and passed by an overwhelming majority.

The discussion also addressed the growing number of countries that announced their intention to formally recognize Palestinian Statehood, underscoring the international consensus to move forward with a peaceful future in which the Palestinian people realize their legitimate right to establish an independent state.

In the light of this, Macron said that the adoption of the New York Declaration by 142 countries “marked a turning point in charting a path toward lasting peace and security in the Middle East,” he posted on X after the call.

He added that the Two-State Solution Conference, co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, “must enable us to take a further step in mobilizing the international community. Two peoples, two states, peace and security for all.”
