
Saudi students earned three awards at the 18th International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA 2025), hosted in Mumbai, India, with nearly 300 participants representing 64 countries.
The Kingdom’s delegation was organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and the Saudi Space Agency.

With this latest success, Saudi Arabia has now achieved a total of six awards over its two years of participation in the competition: one silver medal, three bronze medals, and two certificates of merit.
