AlUla is inviting athletes and adventurers for an exciting race experience. The third edition of AlUla Desert Blaze is returning to Saudi Arabia’s ancient oasis city.
Taking place from August 15-16, 2025, AlUla Desert Blaze is Saudi Arabia’s fiercest race, offering a high dose of thrill and endurance amid the scorching summer heat.
Participants will immerse in an extraordinary experience, running through the Kingdom’s first UNESCO World Heritage Site. They will have a unique chance to discover the city’s breathtaking nature and iconic landmarks, including the historic Hegra and the Maraya building.

At AlUla Desert Blaze, participants will go through a thrilling adventure amid AlUla’s rugged mountain trails. The much-awaited race offers four categories to cater to the needs of runners of all fitness levels: 5 KM, 10 KM, Half Marathon (21 KM), and Full Marathon (42 KM).
The 5 KM and 10 KM races are suitable for participants aged 16 and above, while the Half and Full Marathons are open for runners aged 18 and above.
Known as the hottest race in the region, AlUla Desert Blaze is a test of stamina, spirit and resilience, where male and female participants from around the world come together to take on this extreme challenge.

Owing to its challenging natural terrain and breathtaking ancient landscapes, AlUla stands as an ideal location for AlUla Desert Blaze. The ancient oasis city’s rugged mountains, vast deserts, and scorching summer temperatures create an extreme, yet stunning backdrop that pushes participants to their physical and mental limits.
AlUla has also established its status as a hub for adventure sports, hosting a variety of races. These include AlUla Trail Race, AlFursan Endurance AlUla, and Arabian Warrior AlUla.
