Saudi Arabia, France Explore Strengthening Military Industries Cooperation

Saudi Arabia and France are exploring ways to strengthen ties and bolster joint cooperation, particularly in the field of military industries.

On Thursday, the Saudi Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman, met with the French Delegate General for Armaments, Emmanuel Chiva, in the capital city of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh.

Both officials explored bilateral relations and discussed joint efforts to boost cooperation in the field of military industries.

Prince Khalid said in a statement on X: “Met with French General Delegate for Armament, Emmanuel Chiva. We reviewed the bilateral relations between our friendly countries and explored ways to further enhance our cooperation in the field of military industries.”

Moreover, the Saudi Defense Minister met with the French Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Patrick Maisonnave, on Tuesday. Their meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations and discussing the latest regional developments.

“Met with the French Ambassador to the Kingdom, Patrick Maisonnave. During the meeting, we reviewed the Saudi-French bilateral relations and discussed the latest developments in the region. We also addressed a number of topics of mutual interest,” Prince Khalid wrote on X.

Separately, the Saudi Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, Khalid Al-Biyari, met with the French Delegate General for Armaments, Emmanuel Chiva, on Thursday.

During their meeting, they reviewed bilateral relations in the defense and military fields, in addition to exploring topics of mutual interest, according to the Saudi Ministry of Defense.
