Saudi Foreign Minister Receives call from Norwegian Counterpart

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a call today from Norway’s Foreign Minister Espen Barth Eide.

Discussion on Ministerial Committee’s Work

The ministers discussed the work of the ministerial committee assigned by the Arab-Islamic Extraordinary Summit.

They also discussed the committee’s talks in Beijing, Moscow, London, and Paris.

Addressing Military Escalation in Gaza

The ministers reviewed the importance of stopping the dangerous military escalation in Gaza. They stressed the importance of a humanitarian truce and a ceasefire.

Moreover, the two ministers assessed the international efforts  to deliver humanitarian, relief and medical aid in Gaza which is necessary to de-escalate the humanitarian crisis.

The Saudi Foreign Minister emphasized Saudi Arabia’s strong rejection of forced displacement in Gaza.

He also highlighted the need to stop ongoing blatant violations of international law and International Humanitarian Law by Israeli forces.

Call for Global Action

 The Saudi Foreign Minister stressed that the international community should shoulder its moral and principled responsibility and adhere to resolutions of the international legitimacy.

He referred to the latest U.N. Security Council resolution, underscoring its importance in maintaining global peace and security and preventing extremism and violence.

In a significant diplomatic initiative, the Saudi Deputy Minister Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji recently held a series of meetings with officials from the European Union, the United Nations, and Norway.

This move underscores KSA’s growing role in international affairs and its commitment to fostering stronger ties with key global players.
