Unemployment rate in Saudi Arabia fell to 9.7% in 2022 Q2

The monthly bulletin announced by the Saudi Ministry of Investment in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the performance of the most prominent economic and investment indicators revealed a decrease in the unemployment rate for Saudis in the second quarter of the year to 9.7% compared to 10.1% in the previous quarter.

The unemployment rate for Saudi males and females decreased to 7.4% and 3.19%, respectively, during the same period.

Rapid estimates of real gross domestic product (GDP) showed growth of 8.6% in the third quarter of 2022 on an annual basis. Oil activities grew by 14.5% and non-oil activities grew by 5.6%, while government activities increased by 2.4%.
