Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan met with Austrian Federal Minister for European and International Affairs Beate Meinl-Reisinger in Vienna as part of an official visit to Austria, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
During their meeting, the two ministers reviewed bilateral relations and explored avenues for bolstering cooperation across various sectors, in a manner that serves mutual interests and strengthens the existing Saudi-Austrian partnership.

On this occasion, Prince Faisal renewed his congratulations to Austria on its election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for the 2027–2028 term.
He expressed his anticipation of Austria’s contribution to backing international efforts aimed at promoting international peace and security, and consolidating the principles of international law and multilateralism.
Furthermore, the two ministers discussed recent regional and international developments. In this regard, they welcomed the US-Iran preliminary deal, stressing the need for consolidating this move to support regional stability and enhance political and diplomatic solutions for settling disputes.

The Saudi and Austrian ministers also discussed the prospects for expanding economic and investment cooperation, as well as ways to boost collaboration across various sectors, including energy, renewables and logistics.
Both ministers emphasized the importance of promoting mutual investments, particularly in light of the qualitative opportunities offered by Saudi Vision 2030, most notably in the alternative energy and advanced technology sectors.

Prince Faisal bin Farhan arrived in Vienna on Wednesday on an official visit to Austria. He held separate meetings with Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker and President of Austria’s National Council Walter Rosenkranz.
