Alaidarous, Tulbah Secure Bronze, Almarhoun Receives Honorable Mention at EGMO 2026

The Saudi mathematics team achieved notable success at the 2026 European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad (EGMO), held in Bordeaux, France, from April 9 to 15. The competition brought together 260 participants from 65 countries.

Albatool Alaidarous, representing the General Directorate of Education in the Madinah Region, and Tala Tulbah from the Eastern Region each earned bronze medals. Meanwhile, Fatimah Almarhoun, also from the Eastern Region, was awarded an honorable mention.

With these achievements, Saudi Arabia’s total at EGMO rises to 39 international awards. Over 14 participations since 2012, the country has earned two gold medals, seven silver medals, 17 bronze medals, and 13 honorable mentions.
