The World Economic Forum has announced that its Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting, which was set to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on April 22–23, 2026, will be rescheduled. This decision follows consultations with Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Economy and Planning, requested by the forum in light of current regional developments.

The Ministry of Economy and Planning emphasized that Saudi Arabia remains fully prepared to host the meeting and is well-positioned to convene it successfully. The Kingdom continues to play a significant role as a global hub for dialogue and policy discussions, building on its experience hosting major international events, including the World Economic Forum’s Special Meeting in Riyadh in 2024. Additionally, the ministry expressed its intention to host the Global Collaboration and Growth Meeting at a later date, which will be announced in due course.

WEF stated that the meeting is intended to be a key platform for fostering meaningful global dialogue. It also added that, in coordination with the Saudi Ministry of Economy and Planning, the decision to reschedule was made to ensure the event achieves the greatest possible global impact.
