Zain KSA Boosts Pilgrim Experience at Two Holy Mosques with Cutting-Edge AI-Driven 5G Network

Zain KSA upgraded the digital experience for pilgrims at the Two Holy Mosques during Ramadan 1447 by deploying an advanced, AI-powered 5G network. This was especially impactful during the final ten days of Ramadan, when visitor numbers peak. The intelligent network efficiently managed heavy data traffic, maintaining strong service quality and stability while supporting a smoother spiritual journey for worshippers.
The company reported significant growth in network usage, including a 42% increase in 5G users and a 28% rise in overall data traffic compared to the previous year. Download speeds improved by 53%, and the number of users benefiting from high-quality voice calls grew by 15%.

With full 5G coverage across the Two Holy Mosques, Zain has strengthened its position as a leading digital service provider for pilgrims. This effort supports the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, particularly the Pilgrim Experience Program, which aims to enhance digital infrastructure and accommodate up to 30 million pilgrims annually by 2030.
