“Waad” Forums Boost Workforce Readiness, Align with Labor Market Needs
The “Waad” Skills and Training Forums, organized by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, have emerged as a key initiative to support labor market development and strengthen national workforce capabilities.
The forums aim to improve workforce readiness and raise professional skill levels in response to evolving market demands.
Events have drawn strong attendance across several regions, including Makkah, the Eastern Province, Jazan and the Northern Borders, reflecting efforts to broaden access nationwide.
Activities included specialized training workshops, panel discussions with experts and exhibitions highlighting programs in skills development and vocational training, pointing to coordinated efforts among stakeholders.
The initiative promotes awareness of skills development, encourages lifelong learning and seeks to better align training outcomes with labor market needs, helping participants boost employability and competitiveness.
The forums also brought together training providers and private sector representatives, supporting partnerships and closer alignment between training programs and market requirements.
More than 72 organizations participated, with over 19,000 attendees, indicating growing interest in skills development and investment in human capital.
The initiative forms part of the ministry’s broader strategy to strengthen training systems and support Saudi Vision 2030’s goal of building a diversified, skills-based economy.
