Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan welcomed on Thursday his French counterpart Jean-Noel Barrot in Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Both ministers discussed the Saudi-French relations and explored new avenues to strengthen them in a manner that serves their common interests and aspirations.
During the meeting, Prince Faisal and Barrot also reviewed regional and international developments and their implications for security and stability.
Barrot is currently undertaking a regional tour that will also include stops in Doha and Abu Dhabi before concluding in Muscat on Friday, Arab News en Français reported.
The tour seeks to deepen partnerships with Gulf states while recalibrating its tools of influence to further develop a more stable regional security architecture.
