Value of Crown Prince Camel Festival’s prizes worth $14 million
The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will host the Crown Prince Camel Festival 2022, which is an international Arab event awaited by camel owners. The value of the festival prizes is estimated at more than 14 million US dollars or about 56 million Saudi riyals.
The Crown Prince’s Sword Award is the most expensive and first goal for camel owners.
Points are calculated in the general rounds of the production runs and the final race, provided that the ownership of the “camel” ride is 100% personal.
The number of camels participating in the festival is about 14,843, and 8 countries are participating in it: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Sultanate of Oman, Sudan, and the US.
The participation of Sudanese breeds is also a prominent feature in this version, which is characterized by the speed of running, which will ignite the strength of competition and rivalries with other breeds such as Omani, hybrid and free, and will double the entry of new participants from Arab countries.
All editions of the Crown Prince Camel Festival witnessed qualitative leaps in the prosperity of this vital sector in terms of developing jogging fields, services, and facilities provided to owners, up to the regulations and systems supporting camel sport.
The festival also contributed to the Kingdom being the first destination in the world in terms of interest and organization, and this edition of the Crown Prince Camel Festival 2022 added secure electronic chips for each participating camel.
It is worth noting that camel sport enjoys the support and interest of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman following the programs of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and with the follow-up of Prince Abdulaziz Al-Faisal, Minister of Sports and President of the Saudi Camel Federation Prince Fahd bin Jalawi.
