University of Jeddah Launches “Container” Logistics Incubator with Modon
Jeddah University has launched the program “THE CONTAINER” at Modon Oasis, in collaboration with the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (Modon).
The program serves as an incubator for logistics-related businesses and includes a diverse range of activities such as training programs, workshops, specialized technical programs, advisory consultations, and comprehensive support for entrepreneurs. Moreover, its aim is to develop mature ideas and executable projects, qualifying them for the “Thousand Miles Program” and introducing them to investors in the labor market.
The initiative targets projects and ideas related to the logistics sector in all its branches and services. Additionally, this is part of the National Industrial Development and Logistics Program (NIDLP), one of the key programs of Saudi Vision 2030.
Dr. Mohammed Al-Qarni, Dean of Research and Innovation at Jeddah University, noted that over 200 applicants applied to the program, with 50 of them being accepted. The program offers shared workspaces, a 21-hour mandatory training program, 24 optional training hours, and advisory and mentorship sessions. Additionally, participants have the opportunity to present their ideas to investors in the logistics sector.
