Trade exchange between Saudi Arabia & Egypt records a historic level in 2021

The Federation of Saudi Chambers confirmed that the Kingdom and Egypt are bound by more than 160 bilateral agreements that support the growth of economic relations.

The volume of trade exchange reached about 54 billion Saudi riyals in 2021, its highest value in history, achieving a growth of 87% compared to 2020.

According to a report released by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on the occasion of the Saudi Crown Prince’s visit to Egypt, the Kingdom’s exports to the Egyptian market were 37.6 billion riyals, while Egyptian imports totaled 15.7 billion riyals.

The volume of Saudi investments in Egypt exceeds $32 billion, through more than 6,800 Saudi companies.

The Egyptian investments in Saudi Arabia amount to five billion dollars through more than 802 Egyptian companies.

Saudi investments in Egypt are mainly distributed in the sectors of industry, construction, tourism, finance, services, agriculture, communications, and information technology.

Egyptian investments in the Kingdom are concentrated in the sectors of industry, construction, communications, information technology, wholesale and retail trade, and technical, scientific, and professional services.

According to these figures, Egypt is the largest Arab trading partner for the Kingdom, the seventh partner in terms of exports, and the ninth in terms of imports worldwide.

The Saudi Crown Prince arrived in Cairo yesterday, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi was at the forefront at Cairo International Airport.
