Tabuk Region has concluded its preparations for Founding Day celebrations on February 22, with more than 20 events and initiatives, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Themed “The Day We Began,” the celebrations commemorate the establishment of the First Saudi State in 1727 by Imam Muhammad bin Saud.
The region has organized a vast array of programs, activities, as well as initiatives to highlight Saudi Arabia’s national heritage and rich history.
Over three days, Tabuk will offer cultural activities, theatrical performances, traditional folklore, handicrafts, and displays of Saudi fashion and textiles starting from Friday.
Recently, the region decorated public spaces with 3,500 flags, installed decorative lighting along 15,000 meters of roads, and placed 115 artistic panels and Founding Day displays in key locations.
Furthermore, the authorities have dedicated 14 electronic billboards to displaying the Founding Day logo and celebratory messages.
They also developed a plan for maintenance and cleaning work, by deploying cleaning workers and machinery in certain locations that will witness a turnout of visitors.
The plans also include intensifying health control work on food establishments in the region and providing logistical support to the Ministry of Culture’s celebration sites.
