Syrian Minister Commends KSrelief’s Humanitarian Aid to Syria

Syria’s Minister of Emergency and Disaster Management, Raed Al-Saleh, on Wednesday commended the broad humanitarian and development initiatives carried out in Syria by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), according to the Saudi Press Agency.

During his official visit to KSrelief’s headquarters in Riyadh, Al-Saleh conveyed his sincere gratitude to King Salman and his Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, stressing the Kingdom’s unparalleled humanitarian assistance to the people of Syria.

He also noted that KSrelief’s pivotal efforts in Syria encompass a vast array of sectors, integrating immediate emergency relief with long-term development programs designed to elevate living conditions and boost recovery.

Al-Saleh shed light on one of the center’s significant initiatives, a voluntary medical program providing cochlear implants and auditory rehabilitation, which has restored hearing for roughly 1,500 children, creating new opportunities for education and social integration.

He further underscored that these efforts mirror a concrete transformation in Syria from immediate emergency aid toward sustainable, long-term development.

KSrelief primarily seeks to enhance food security and promote living conditions for communities in need.

Founded in 2015, the center serves as Saudi Arabia’s major humanitarian agency, driving relief and development initiatives across several countries worldwide, with a special focus on crisis response, healthcare, food security, as well as capacity-building programs.
