Sudanese Health Minister Commends KSrelief’s Swift Response

Sudan’s Federal Minister of Health, Dr. Haitham Mohamed Ibrahim, emphasized that the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) stood at the forefront of the humanitarian response, swiftly mobilizing to address the country’s humanitarian crisis, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Ibrahim’s remarks came during Tuesday’s launch of nine KSrelief humanitarian initiatives to support several vital sectors in Sudan.

He noted that Saudi Arabia’s support for Sudan’s health sector has surpassed $33 million, including the delivery of over 200 containers packed with advanced medical equipment and power generators, tailored to 50 hospitals across the country.

The medical support further extends to the organization of more than 40 medical camps each year across several states.

The Health Minister conveyed the government’s and people’s gratitude to Saudi Arabia’s leadership, emphasizing that the Kingdom’s support stands as a testament to the depth of the fraternal ties between the two nations.

Beside medical support, KSrelief has also launched nine new water supply projects in Sudan, including the construction of modern stations and the rehabilitation of existing ones. Therefore, the center has been a major player in expanding access to safe drinking water.

KSrelief has also distributed food baskets to displaced families in North Kordofan State, providing vital assistance to thousands of families.
