Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs visits Saudi Arabia and Yemen
Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah received in Riyadh Sweden’s Foreign Minister Anne Linde.
They discussed how to strengthen cooperation and joint coordination to serve the two friendly countries, the most recent developments in regional and international issues of common interest, and exchanged views on the matters.
The two sides also reviewed joint efforts to end the crisis in Yemen following international resolutions.
Then, the Saudi Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Adel Al-Jubeir, met with the Swedish Minister of Foreign Affairs to discuss similar subjects.
Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi also received the Swedish Minister of
Foreign Affairs. Hadi expressed his appreciation for Sweden’s efforts to support Yemen in various aspects, including relief and humanitarian efforts.
He praised Sweden’s active participation within the European Union, its support to Yemen, the Stockholm peace negotiations sponsorship, and its designation as a special envoy to Yemen.
