In view of the Supreme Court’s Decision No. (194) dated 29/10/1446, which states that Tuesday, 1/11/1446 —according to the Umm al-Qura calendar—corresponding to 29/4/2025 CE, is the first day of the month of Dhu al-Qi’dah for the year 1446, the Supreme Court now calls upon all Muslims throughout the Kingdom to observe the crescent moon of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah on the evening of Tuesday, 29/11/1446 —according to the Umm al-Qura calendar—corresponding to 27/5/2025.

The Supreme Court requests that anyone who sights the crescent moon with the naked eye or through binoculars report it to the nearest court and register their testimony there, or contact the nearest center to assist them in reaching the nearest court.
The Supreme Court also hopes that those who are capable of moon sighting will give this matter due attention, join the committees formed in the various regions for this purpose, and seek the reward and merit of participating—due to the cooperation involved in righteousness and piety, and the benefit it brings to all Muslims.
