Summer Fruits Season to Celebrate AlUla’s Agricultural Products

The Royal Commission for AlUla has officially launched the region’s Summer Fruit Season, marking the beginning of its broader harvest period, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

Set to kick off at Al‑Manshiyah Farmers Market from July 22 to 28, the event showcases AlUla’s renowned produce such as dates, citrus, peregrine, and honey seasons.

The season will provide farmers and local families with an invaluable platform to showcase various fruits. Thus, it supports sustainable agriculture and fosters economic development.

By organizing the Summer Fruit Season, the commission seeks to drive economic growth through community initiatives within AlUla’s 5,000 farms, which include over 50,000 trees.

Spanning more than 125,000 hectares, AlUla’s mango farms yield over 1,125 tons. Meanwhile, fig, grape, and pomegranate farms produce more than 3,141 tons.

The commission has been developing AlUla’s agricultural sector, supporting economic opportunities and encouraging competitivity among farmers. As a result, it has created various local job opportunities and provided visitors with unique agricultural tourism experiences.
