Sultan Haitham orders to form a committee to assess damages due to Shaheen
The Sultan of Oman, Haitham bin Tariq, has issued on Monday an order established by the Ministerial Board to evaluate the damage caused to the houses of Sultanate residents directly impacted by tropical ‘Shaheen’ condition.
The government will provide various forms of support and assistance necessary to mitigate these effects on them as soon as possible.
In addition to taking measures needed to speed up the restoration of other damaged services, the Oman news agency said that the Sultan of Oman also instructed that the infrastructure was to be repaired quickly and damaged as a consequence of these conditions.
The agency indicated that the committee, headed by the Minister of Finance and Chairman of the Financial and Economic Committee in the Omani Cabinet, will begin its work in returning things to normal as soon as possible.
