SMF 2023 to be launched under the auspices of Faisal bin Salman
Under the auspices of His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah Region, the Region Development Authority will organize, next Sunday, the “Smart Madinah” Forum (SMF2023), its second edition.
The “Smart Madinah” Forum will be organized over 3 days at the King Salman International Convention Center in partnership with The United Nations Human Settlements Program (Habitat), in the presence of more than 40 speakers from more than 20 countries around the world.
The (SMF2023) forum aims to provide a free space for open discussion among elite specialists from around the world to share the expertise and experiences of global smart cities, discuss the challenges facing residents and visitors of cities, ways to apply smart city concepts to address the challenges they face and review the pioneering experience of Madinah in its transformation into a Smart city without compromising its identity and Islamic culture.
The themes of the (SMF2023) forum are sustainability and smart cities, smart city platforms, and the holding of workshops entitled “Sustainable Development Goals: A Participating Society”.
The discussion of the (SMF2023) will revolve around these themes between a group of experts and specialists who represent the most important international organizations from different countries of the world. They represent a number of national authorities, specialized consulting companies, and international technology companies.
It is noteworthy that the forum sessions will include the organization of an exhibition entitled “City Harmony”, which is the first contemporary art exhibition of images of a Saudi city twinned with NFT using blockchain technology, and the accompanying exhibition will continue for a month after the end of the forum’s work.
