Sheikh of Al-Azhar praises Saudi Arabia’s decision to organize Hajj this year

The Grand Imam, Dr Ahmed Al-Tayeb, Sheikh of Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, said that Saudi Arabia’s decision to organize the Hajj this year is a right and wise move that considers the public interest and the preservation of pilgrims rights.

The Kingdom allowed limited numbers of citizens and residents to practice the obligation of Hajj following the continuing repercussions of the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a statement, the Grand Imam affirmed Al-Azhar’s appreciation for the Kingdom’s keenness on the safety of pilgrims.

He mentioned the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince and the brotherly Saudi people for their efforts in serving the pilgrims and ensuring their safety.

His Eminence prayed for the leaders of Arab and Islamic countries to succeed in saving people’s lives, to lift the affliction during the epidemic, and to spare our world and humanity from all harm and evil.
