SBA, General Presidency for Scholarly Research, Ifta Sign MoU to Enhance Sharia Media Content

The Saudi Broadcasting Authority (SBA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the General Presidency for Scholarly Research and Ifta to strengthen collaboration in producing religious media content.

The agreement was signed by Fahd Al-Majed—who serves as Secretary-General of the Council of Senior Scholars, Secretary-General of the Permanent Committee for Ifta, and Supervisor of the Grand Mufti’s Office—and Ali Alzaid, CEO of SBA.

Under the MoU, both parties will work together on Sharia review of media programs and the creation of digital content grounded in trusted scholarly sources. The partnership seeks to enhance the accuracy, credibility, and overall quality of religious media messaging.

This agreement underscores a shared commitment to strengthening institutional cooperation and advancing mutual objectives in the media and religious sectors.
