Saudi stock market cap has been developing in last 10 years
The Saudi stock market (Tadawul)’s market capitalisation increased for the sixth year in a row by the end of 2021, reaching an all-time high.
Similarly, at the end of 2021, the Tadawul’s general index “TASI” had reached its highest closing level in 11 years, and was on track to rise for the sixth year in a row.
During the last ten years, the Saudi stock market’s value has increased by 687.6% (almost seven times).
During that time, Tadawul’s overall index increased by 75.8%, closing at 11281.71 points by the end of 2021.
By the end of 2021, the market value of Saudi stocks had grown, with the energy sector’s market value reaching 7.198 trillion riyals ($ 1.919 trillion).
This is reinforced by Saudi Aramco’s market value, which reached 7.160 trillion riyals at the end of the year; it alone accounts for 71.54% of the total market value of the shares listed on the main market of “Tadawul.”
