Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan spoke via phone call with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov on Friday, reviewing bilateral relations and discussing ways to strengthen cooperation, according to Arab News.
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry said Prince Faisal and Lavrov explored ways to foster joint coordination and addressed several issues of mutual concern during their call.
Both sides also delved into the Palestinian-Israeli peace process, Iran, and Yemen, according to Russia’s Foreign Ministry.
The two ministers highlighted the significance of developing a dynamic political dialogue between Riyadh and Moscow.
They also committed to intensifying “joint efforts to develop trade, economic, investment, and cultural and humanitarian cooperation,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
Both ministers also reviewed preparations for next week’s 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Russia.
