Saudi, Pakistani officials discuss supporting the growth of the digital economy

The Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah bin Amer Al-Sawaha, discussed with the Ambassador of the Republic of Pakistan to the Kingdom, Amir Khorram Ratur; Ways to enhance bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Pakistan, support the growth of the digital economy and encourage entrepreneurship and investment.

The Saudi Press Agency stated that the two sides discussed ways to deepen cooperation between the two countries in several areas related to the field of communications and information technology, foremost of which is supporting the growth of the digital economy, digital transformation, e-governance, in addition to digital infrastructure.

The meeting also reviewed the bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Pakistan, and the Kingdom’s aspirations in the field of the digital economy, in addition to discussing ways to enhance bilateral relations in the field of entrepreneurship by introducing companies in both friendly countries to the advantages and incentives to invest in the communications and information technology markets in the two countries, in light of the expansion of their opportunities and its growth.
