Saudi National Day 2024: Royal Guard Parades March through Riyadh, Jeddah Streets
The Presidency of the Saudi Royal Guard is organizing parades in Riyadh and Jeddah to mark the 94th Saudi National Day, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Royal Guard parades are taking place on September 22-23, 2024, as part of the national activities program organized by the General Entertainment Authority (GEA), with the participation of several government and national entities, to celebrate the Saudi National Day.
On Sunday, the events kick off in Riyadh. The parade will start at 4 pm in Prince Mohammed bin Saad bin Abdulaziz Road. Then, it will head to Umm Ajlan Park in the Al-Qirawan district. The parade will feature the Royal Guard musical bands, cavalry, the military police battalion, motorcycles, and military vehicles.
Meanwhile, the Royal Guard parade will kick off in Jeddah at 4 pm on the same day. It will feature a musical band and an honor guard display. Moreover, it will include motorcycles and cavalry marches, and many other events.
On Monday, the main roads in Riyadh will host a four-hour tour of the Royal Guard motorcade. Meanwhile, it will proceed in Jeddah along the Corniche towards Palestine Street Fountain. The events will include a show featuring classic cars and motorcycles.
Saudi Arabia celebrates its National Day on September 23 each year. The National Day marks the annual anniversary of the unification of Najd and Hijaz into the modern Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On this occasion, all the Kingdom regions organize parades, fireworks and entertainment activities to celebrate the big event. Citizens cherish the day by wearing the traditional attire. All the Kingdom’s streets are adorned with Saudi flags, while buildings are lit up in green.
