Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Health Fahd bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel embarked on an official visit to Greece on Thursday.
According to Arab News, the Minister will hold various meetings with his Greek Counterpart, Adonis Georgiadis, and an elite group of pharmaceutical industry leaders.
Through several tours of Greek pharmaceutical facilities, the visit aims particularly to attract cooperation opportunities in drug research, development and local drug manufacturing.
In the light of this, Al-Jalajel explained that the visit holds strategic significance for both countries. “This visit exemplifies the strong Saudi-Greek relations, enhances cooperation in mutual areas of interest and paves the way for future partnerships in healthcare innovation,” Al-Jalajel said.
Crucially, the Minister will take a deep look at various healthcare initiatives, notably emergency response systems, telemedicine platforms and virtual healthcare solutions.
Furthermore, the tours will offer valuable opportunities to collaborate in several areas including virtual medicine, emergency services, digital health and boosting healthcare services in tourist islands.
The visit perfectly aligns with the healthcare transformation goals of the Saudi Vision 2030 with a special focus on leveraging international expertise to elevate service efficiency.
