Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan took part on Wednesday in the joint ministerial meeting between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Benelux Countries.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the meeting was held in New York on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 79th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA).
The meeting saw the convergence of Deputy Minister for International Multilateral Affairs and General Supervisor of the Public Diplomacy Deputyship Ambassador Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Rassi alongside the Kingdom’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Ambassador Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Wasil.
Director-General of the Foreign Minister’s Office Abdulrahman Aldawood, and Director of the GCC Department Anas Alwasedy also participated in the meeting.
The participants reviewed several opportunities to boost cooperation between the GCC and Benelux countries in various areas, including the possibility of increasing trade exchange and economic development between both sides.
The meeting also delved into the latest regional and international developments, including the Gaza War, and the efforts made in this regard.
