Saudi Foreign Minister Discusses with Iranian counterpart Saudi-Iranian Relations

Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call today, Thursday, from his Iranian counterpart, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, according to Al Arabiya. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the two ministers discussed Saudi-Iranian relations and ways to develop them in various fields.

They also discussed the developments in the region, especially in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings, and the efforts being made in this regard.

The Israeli military operation in Gaza continues, with more casualties and injuries reported daily.

Earlier Saudi-Iranian Meetings

Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met  with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Hossein Amir Abdullahian a while ago.

They met on the sidelines of the high-level event to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the latest updates on the situation in the Gaza Strip and its surroundings.

The ministers stressed that it is very important for  the international community to play its role to achieve a ceasefire and protect civilians. Moreover, they displayed ways to enhance Saudi-Iranian relations and discussed regional and international issues of common interest.

The Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman of KSA welcomed the President of Iran Ebrahim Raisi on the sidelines of the  remarkable Arab-Islamic Summit in Riyadh.

The Crown Prince received various leaders and heads of delegations attending the Summit. This underscores Riyadh’s diplomatic role.

On behalf of King Salman, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister chaired the Summit.
