Saudi FM, Australian Counterpart Discuss Situation in Gaza

Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a phone call, today, Wednesday, from the Australian Foreign Minister, Penny Wong, as per Saudi Press Agency. During the call, they discussed the Gaza Strip situation and its surroundings.

They stressed the need for concerted regional and international efforts to reach an immediate ceasefire. They further discussed the efforts made to open safe corridors to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gazans.

The two ministers also expressed deep concern about the humanitarian catastrophe and loss of life in the Gaza Strip. They stressed the need for Israel to adhere to and respect international humanitarian law.

Saudi Humanitarian aid to Gaza

The Palestinian Red Crescent announced in a statement that its crews received on Saturday seven ambulances donated by Saudi Arabia to the strip through the Egyptian Red Crescent through the Rafah crossing.

In another context, the Palestinian Red Crescent announced on Saturday that it had received 100 trucks of humanitarian aid from the Egyptian Red Crescent through the Rafah crossing.

The Palestinian Red Crescent explained that the trucks carried food, water, relief aid, medical supplies and medicines.

Earlier on Saturday, the Egyptian Red Crescent had confirmed the entry of three fuel trucks into the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing for the first time since the resumption of the war on the Strip on Friday.

Besides Saudi land bridge that is delivering aid to Gaza strip, KSA has been extending a sea bridge made up of three ships carrying desperately-needed aid to the strip.
