Saudi FM meets UN humanitarian coordinator in Yemen to discuss peace efforts
His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, received recently at the Ministry’s headquarters in Riyadh, the UN Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Yemen, David Grisley.
During the reception, they reviewed the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the UN at the regional and international levels to reach a comprehensive political solution to the Yemeni crisis.
They also considered the Kingdom’s initiative in this regard, in addition to reviewing the humanitarian and development support programs implemented by the King Salman Center for Relief and Humanitarian Action to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people.
The two sides also discussed ways to enhance joint coordination between the Kingdom and the UN to support regional and international efforts aimed at stopping the humanitarian violations carried out by the terrorist Houthi militia against the Yemeni people, which in turn disrupted all political solutions to end the Yemeni crisis.
The reception was attended by the Ambassador of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to Yemen, who supervises the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen, Muhammad bin Saeed Al Jaber.
