The hearts of Muslims are full of pride and happiness when they see the flag of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia high and fluttering in the horizons. Despite the fact that the flag belongs to Saudi Arabia, its contents are a key factor in uniting all the Islamic countries, thanks to the word of monotheism, “There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah”.
Since King Abdulaziz Al Saud approved the current form of the Saudi flag on March 11, 1937, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz’s royal decree in 2023 to celebrate the Saudi National Flag Day on March 11 of each year, the occasion became a symbol of deep authenticity and consolidated identity. The Kingdom celebrated the day for the first time in 2023, crystallizing the sincerity of belonging, great pride, and the fixed values on which the Kingdom’s policy depends.
This year, the Flag Day coincides with the end of the first ten days of the holy month of Ramadan while spiritual transcendence is growing in the souls of Muslims. Through the combination between this spiritual transcendence and national awareness, people develop deep national inspiration towards a clear vision to secure a better future.
The celebration also coincides with the intensified feelings of solidarity among Muslims in the face of blatant hostile campaigns against peoples, the exposure of expansionist conspiracies in some Arab and Islamic countries, as well as the escalation of conflicts in various regions of the world. All these issues crystalize the vitality of Saudi diplomacy, mediation and pivotal efforts to resolve disputes.
Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia makes good efforts to alleviate the suffering of peoples through relief, medical, food, humanitarian aid and charitable campaigns, launched basically to combat misery, poverty, hunger and disease, especially in the Gaza Strip.
The Kingdom’s history is still full of several extraordinary international stances that served as bright milestones in its track to support its foreign policy and boost international relations. Such stances also enhanced its influential presence in the fields of cooperation, development and investment, as well as in making the most crucial decisions in international forums due to its significant international confidence.
Therefore, the flag stands at the heights of the headquarters of regional and international organizations as a living proof of people’s love and loyalty to their country and to their loyal leadership under the word of monotheism. They are loyal to a Kingdom that does not recognize weakness but rather protects the dignity of its people.
Saudi Arabia’s status as a prestigious hub for global conferences and international meetings and its support for various charitable initiatives stand as a testament to the sublimity of Islamic values. The Kingdom has reflected these values at the forefront of the flag in order to be the basis of its dealings and not merely an empty banner.
